VENICE THEATRE
Auditions for Harriet the Spy, directed by Jonathan Hunter — June 27th (5-9pm) and June 28th (2-6pm) at the Raymond Center, callbacks July 6th. Performances run September 11-20, 2026. Venice Theatre accepts self-taped video auditions year-round via YouTube link or cloud submission to [email protected].
LEMON BAY PLAYHOUSE
Casting now for their 2026-2027 season opener, Unnecessary Farce — auditions June 28 & 29 at 7pm at the playhouse, 96 W. Dearborn Street, Englewood. No monologue needed, just come ready to read from the script. The show runs September 2-20, 2026. Actors receive a mileage stipend plus two comp tickets. CHARLOTTE PLAYERS
One of the oldest performing arts organizations in Florida, celebrating over 60 seasons. Their season includes Main Stage Productions, Langdon Playhouse, and Kids on Stage, plus a newer TV and Film On Camera Acting program. Call 941-255-1022 for current audition postings.
THE SARASOTA PLAYERS
Founded in 1929 and celebrating 95+ years, The Players holds auditions for both Mainstage and Backstage productions. Musical auditions require 32 measures of a song showing off your vocal range; non-musical auditions call for a one-minute monologue. Sign up for a time slot through their website. They’re also running their New Play Festival August 10-14, 2026.
TREE FORT PRODUCTIONS
An award-winning company known for bold new works — 2025’s Florida’s Best Award-Winning Theatre. Auditions welcome both Equity and Non-Equity actors. Prepare a two-minute monologue, two one-minute contrasting monologues, or one minute of song a cappella plus a monologue. Located at 3501 South Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. FLORIDA STUDIO THEATRE
FST casts across Mainstage, Cabaret, Stage III, Children’s Theatre, Reading Series, and understudy roles.
MANATEE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Just held auditions for Dear Evan Hansen, Anastasia, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Carrie the Musical. Next round: September 20-21 for Come From Away, Alice by Heart, The Da Vinci Code, and Appropriate — with final auditions January 24-25, 2027. Non-paid volunteer roles, open to ages 13+.
FLORIDA REPERTORY THEATRE
Holds Equity Principal Auditions (EPAs) both locally and in New York for its professional season.
